Laura focuses on helping clients identify, plan for, and work toward their personal and financial goals. Along the way, Laura also helps her clients manage their assets, navigate transitions, and proactively address their financial concerns and challenges. She works closely with each client to develop a sound asset management approach that incorporates their specific needs, circumstances, and goals. As a single parent, Laura is particularly attuned to the many unique issues women may face as they build, manage, and eventually pass their wealth to the next generation. Laura is also adept at working with women who find themselves in a period of transition or as the sole person in charge of their family’s financial life.

Laura joined BLBB Advisors in 1997 following a legal career that included a judicial clerkship in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and a commercial litigation practice at White and Williams LLP in Philadelphia. Before attending law school at Vanderbilt University, Laura taught English at the Doshisha Girls’ Junior and Senior High School in Kyoto, Japan. Laura’s prior financial work experience includes time spent on Drexel Burnham Lambert’s Eurodollar/Treasury Bill desk at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and on the institutional equity trading desk at Janney Montgomery Scott in Philadelphia. Laura is also a graduate of Smith College where she received a B.A. in Economics and Government.

Outside the office, Laura is the mother of two girls and an active volunteer at their school. She co-founded and remains active in the Germantown Academy Women’s Networking Group. She also serves on the Board of Trustees at GA and is a member of the school’s Investment and Strategic Vision Committees. Laura also serves on the Board of Trustees and the Finance Committee for the Community Partnership School in Philadelphia; on the Board of Trustees for BLBB Charitable; and as a member of the Finance Committee for Liberty Lutheran. Like many of her clients, Laura is also an avid traveler and is always ready to plan her next adventure.
