2020 has been a challenging year for everyone, but that is all the more reason to celebrate the milestones and special people in our lives. BLBB is delighted to celebrate Maisha Bell, Portfolio Administrator, who this year marks her 20th year at BLBB.
Maisha joined BLBB in 2000 when we were just 12 employees in Ambler. Prior to joining the firm, Maisha spent five years as an administrative assistant to the Sr. VP of Marketing at the brokerage firm Hornor, Townsend & Kent, LLC.
Maisha joined BLBB just after we swept the Y2K scare under the rug and ushered in the 21st Century. In March of that year, the NASDAQ Composite Index reached an all-time high of 5,048, and two weeks later, the NASDAQ-100, S&P 500, and Wilshire 5000 reached their Dot-com bubble peaks. We ended that year with a presidential election, hanging chads, and a Supreme Court case that determined the winner.
While much has changed in the subsequent twenty years – for example, BLBB’s employees have more than doubled in number – one constant is the incredible talent that our employees, like Maisha, bring to the firm. Maisha works closely with three of our financial advisors – John Lawton, Robb Parlanti, and Brian Gallagher – and their clients to provide a wide variety of administrative support including account opening and maintenance, asset movements, securities processing, gifting, distributions, transfers, and trading. Maisha is also an integral member of our marketing and events team and has provided support to our foundation, BLBB Charitable. We are grateful for Maisha’s decades of hard work, dedication, and commitment to BLBB and its clients. Here’s to twenty more years!
