Doug is a financial advisor to entrepreneurs. He has worked closely with entrepreneurs for over 29 years, and has been one himself for over 20 years. He well understands the challenges and opportunities entrepreneurs face, and focuses on integrating what is typically their greatest asset – their business – into a comprehensive personal financial plan supporting their life plan. This understanding helps Doug communicate risk and contingency planning options to clients when developing the client’s personal financial plan; investing the client’s assets to that plan; and being a valued sounding board to the entrepreneur.

Over the course of his career, he has helped several public and private companies develop and execute upon their strategic visions, including serving as CFO or outsourced CFO in over 65 acquisitions and divestures; advising BLBB clients through a sale, exit, or transition to the next generation; forming numerous special purpose entities (typically LLC’s); preparing and interpreting financial modeling including profitability analysis and budgeting; banking relations and negotiating loans; developing practical and implementable strategic plans; building and enhancing management control systems; and evaluating and mitigating business risks.

He has served as an Executive Financial Advisor for the Rocketdyne division of Rockwell International, the Chief Financial Officer of Pierce Leahy Corp., the President of Pioneer Capital, L.P., and Founder and President of Fountainhead Services®, LLC. Doug also served as Principal and Chief Operating Officer of BLB&B Holdings, LLC for 6 years. For almost 30 years, he has been focused on helping entrepreneurs and their family businesses, including taking one public as CFO on the NYSE, serving on its board of directors, subsequently selling it for an enterprise value of $1.2 billion, and then running a private family office.

Doug is a graduate of The Wharton School of Business where he received an MBA with a focus on Finance and Strategic Planning. Doug is also a magna cum laude graduate of Bucknell University where he received a BSBA in accounting. He practiced in Pennsylvania as a CPA (inactive) where he passed the exam on his first sitting. In 2016, he became a Financial Advisor for BLBB Advisors, LLC.
