Bob has more than 35 years of experience as an investment advisor and he has counseled his clients through many periods of economic and market turmoil. Bob’s uncompromising commitment to quality is the cornerstone of his investment philosophy. His adherence to a rigorous investment philosophy allows him to look beyond the emotions that often prevail during times of crisis and volatility. Instead, he focuses on analyzing the facts involved in a situation and adheres to the strategy appropriate for each client’s investment objectives and needs.
Before joining Burke Lawton Brewer & Burke in 2008, Bob served as the Chairman and CEO of Walnut Asset Management for over eighteen years. Prior to this, Bob was an Executive Vice President with and member of the Executive Committee at W.H. Newbold’s Son & Co, Inc. Bob also served as a Vice President with Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith, Inc. for nearly ten years where he managed the Doylestown office. Earlier in his career, Bob worked for Procter & Gamble as a Unit Sales Manager and for Johnson & Johnson as a Director of Field Sales.
Bob is currently a member of the Philadelphia Securities Association and an active member of the community. He served on the Board of Directors of the Central Bucks YMCA and the Doylestown Athletic Association and is a past president of the Doylestown Country Club. Bob earned a B.A. in Economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and completed an Advanced Course in Investment Decisions and Behavioral Finance at Harvard University.
